There's no Ground Force team on hand, and no building work from Tommy Walsh either. It's a real case of Do It Yourself. The budget for each garden was £4000, of which £1000 had to be spent on plants. John Sanders, (project manager, pictured below) renamed the street Grief Street because of all the complaining and moaning. Allan and Deborah Flint's garden will have a bark covered area for their children and fabric sails on a post to provide shade.

The pictures below show John and Cynthia Marson's proposed Japanese garden, plus Fiona Nolan ( who spotted the BBC's advert in a local shop) and the computer's portrayal of her traditional garden. The trellis will provide privacy and break up the long, narrow plot.
